Remembrance runs deep
From the quiet dignity of the services at our military cemeteries to the powerful parades led by veterans, cadets and serving personnel, every Remembrance event I have attended this year reminds me of the courage, sacrifice and hope of those who served and of the families who stood behind them.

My meeting with residents of North Town, and a roundtable with headteachers on support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), reminded me that change works best when it starts with listening.

Alex Baker MP has today published a report for Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson MP, setting out eight recommendations to ensure military families get the best from the Government’s new Best Start Family Hubs.

The sense of optimism at this year’s Freshers Fairs at Farnborough College of Technology and Farnborough Sixth Form College was especially striking.
A fresh start for our schools
Taking my daughters to school last week was a moment of pride mixed with emotion. It reminded me how important the Labour’s drive to put education back at the heart of national priorities is.
