Revitalising our town centres
Investing in the future of Aldershot and Farnborough
As online shopping and out-of-town retail parks draw consumers away, many town centres face decline, with empty shops and reduced footfall.
Ours are no exception.
Yet these town centres are essential for fostering economic growth, strengthening our community, and preserving local heritage.
I want to use my time as your Member of Parliament to create vibrant, attractive places that support local businesses and encourage entrepreneurship.
In the short term, that’s about tackling anti-social behaviour and creating spaces for people to meet, socialise, and participate in cultural events.
In the longer term, it’s about securing innovative new uses and boosting investment.
Over the next few months, I will be working to bring a range of partners together, including the Government, to look at how we can revitalise Aldershot and Farnborough in particular, to create more lively, inclusive, and prosperous spaces that benefit local people and secure them for future generations.
